Tissot Visodate Seastar PR16 ref. 44554-6 - Full set
Magnificent Tissot Visodate Seastar PR16 watch from 1968. The reference of this watch is 44554-6. The reference on the case and the serial number on the movement match those on the papers. This copy was delivered to England.
Its dial is the most interesting part of this example: a green/petroleum blue shade! It has very few defects, minute scratches caused by disintegration of the material, light and age. The Tritium indexes surely played a role in the evolution of this dial. The crown is signed Tissot and is the original one.
The case has a few minor scratches (the deepest are on the caseback and visible in the photos). He wasn't very polite, which is great news. The movement is a caliber 784-2, the daily derivative varies between -6 and +22 seconds per day. It shows good amplitude but service will make it ready to wear every day. I should mention that the (original) bezel is worn in some places and I cannot rotate it. I think a cleaning should solve this problem (probably due to accumulated dirt).
It comes with its complete set:
Original watch box
Tissot papers from 1968
The watch works perfectly. The date function works as it should when 12 hours pass. The hands are all equally functional.
