This Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 3893J perfectly illustrates the philosophy of Swiss dress watches and Bauhaus style. Its round 18-carat yellow gold case, harmonious proportions and clean dial give it a discreet and refined presence, true to the traditional aesthetic of the Geneva manufacture. This reference appeared in the catalogue in the early 1980s.
It is powered by the Patek Philippe 215 calibre, a mechanical manual-winding movement featuring 18 jewels and a 44-hour power reserve. Renowned for its finesse and meticulous design, this calibre belongs to the manufacture's tradition of manual-winding movements. It powers the hours, minutes and small seconds functions, the latter being elegantly positioned at 6 o'clock.
The presented example stands out with its particularly luminous ivory dial, punctuated by applied yellow gold baton hour markers and a beaded minute track around the periphery. The dauphine-style hands add dimension to the overall design, while the small seconds harmoniously completes the composition. A sober and balanced presentation that highlights every detail of the dial.
Its 33 mm case is crafted from 18-carat yellow gold and features a case back also made of gold. The watch comes with its original Patek Philippe pin buckle, also in 18-carat yellow gold.
This watch comes without a box or papers.
