The Omega Chronostop is a unique chronograph, launched in 1966, distinguished by its simplicity and bold design. Unlike traditional chronographs, it has a single central 60-second hand (often orange) and a single pusher, allowing only short intervals of up to 60 seconds to be timed.
This model is emblematic of the late 1960s, a period marked by bold and eccentric designs. Initially designed for the Seamaster collection, it later joined the Geneva range in 1967, targeting younger buyers with a more affordable price point.
This one is a Chronostop reference 146.009 from 1969, one of the most classic of the collection, with a diameter of 35mm. It is equipped with the caliber 920 giving it a power reserve of 40 hours. It comes with the following elements:
- Original Omega box
- Guarantee of origin
- Omega Price Tag
- Original needles (replaced during the revision in March 2024)
The watch was serviced in March 2024. The original hands had to be changed due to their condition. They were replaced with a set of original Omega hands (the same as for this exact model). The original hands will also be passed on.
