Founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1881, Movado has established itself as one of the great Swiss watch brands by combining elegance and technical innovation. The brand's watches, particularly those produced in the mid-20th century, illustrate a rare balance between refined aesthetics and mechanical excellence. For collectors, they represent a valuable alternative to major manufacturers while offering impeccable watchmaking pedigree.
This Movado, produced in the 1950s, fully embodies this spirit. It is powered by the Movado caliber 127, a hand-wound movement designed in-house and renowned for its craftsmanship. The white dial, signed "Fab. Suisse" (presumably intended for the French market), has a slight patina that underlines its vintage charm. Despite a few subtle imperfections, it retains all of its elegance and remains perfectly legible.
The case measures 34 mm, harmonious proportions, ideal for a dress watch. The unsigned crown, typical of Movado productions of this period, is most likely original.
This watch comes without box or papers.
