The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Double Retrograde reference MP7018 is one of the most iconic models in the Masterpiece collection. Introduced in the 2000s, this line marked a turning point for the brand by showcasing bold mechanical complications in a particularly attractive positioning.
The Double Retrograde is instantly recognizable thanks to its sophisticated asymmetrical display. It combines a retrograde date display at 6 o'clock, a power reserve indicator at 3 o'clock, and a small seconds function at 9 o'clock, creating a unique visual dynamic. At 12 o'clock, a retrograde 24-hour GMT counter completes the ensemble, making this timepiece as technically advanced as it is elegant.
The silver dial features a stunning interplay of finishes: a central guilloché pattern, sunburst decoration on the subdials, and applied Roman numerals. The blued hands provide a refined contrast, a strong aesthetic signature of the Masterpiece collection. It is powered by the ML100 caliber.
Its 44mm stainless steel case makes a strong statement on the wrist, yet maintains a touch of elegance and balance. The overall effect is one of classic haute horlogerie, while remaining highly versatile for everyday wear.
