Launched in the mid-1950s, it is one of the first Longines collections to bear the Conquest name, with an approach that blends elegance and a sporting vocation. The reference 9000-1 thus belongs to the first generations of Conquest, produced during the 1950s.

This example stands out for its black dial, a particularly attractive configuration for this generation. The contrast with the applied indices and dauphine hands gives it a very distinctive presence, while retaining the elegant proportions characteristic of watches from that era. Please note that the caseback markings have been partially erased.

It is powered by the Longines 19AS caliber, a 19-jewel automatic movement developed by Longines. This caliber is among the manufacture's first automatic movements and constitutes one of the hallmark technical features of the early Conquest models.
