Founded in Besançon in 1867, Lip occupies a central place in the history of French watchmaking, notably thanks to its groundbreaking technical innovations. In 1958, the company unveiled the Lip R27, the first European electric watch, a symbol of modern and audacious watchmaking.
The model presented here is a Lip Quartz "Général de Gaulle", a reissue produced in the 1990s, paying homage to the famous Lip R27 given to General de Gaulle in December 1958. This piece faithfully reproduces the aesthetic codes of the historical model, while benefiting from the reliability of a modern quartz movement.
Its pristine white dial, perfectly preserved, is enhanced by applied gold hour markers and understated hands, offering exceptional legibility and timeless elegance. The well-proportioned yellow gold-plated case harmoniously completes the design.
A watch with strong historical content, ideal for lovers of iconic French timepieces.
