Superb and rare Lip Genève Chronograph ref. 9969 from the 1960s. This chronograph embodies the pinnacle of French watchmaking expertise. Manufactured under the high-end Lip Genève division, founded in Geneva in 1959 by Fred Lip, the first foreign watchmaker authorized to establish a company in the Swiss watchmaking city. 

This watch boasts a superior level of finish, both aesthetically and mechanically. It is powered by the R830 caliber, an in-house movement based on the renowned Venus 188, with manual winding. This is the most sought-after version of this model. The silver dial, signed Lip Genève, features two recessed counters, applied indexes and steel hands, in a sober and balanced design typical of chronographs of the 1960s. It retains excellent readability while evoking the discreet elegance specific to the era.

The whole is housed in a 14K gold-plated (20 microns) hallmarked EPSA monobloc case with round stainless steel pushers. The caseback is engraved with the emblematic logo of the Besançon manufacture, the historic birthplace of the brand. This case measures 36 mm in diameter (40 mm with the crown) with a thickness of 11.5 mm and 42 mm lug to lug, offering a beautiful presence on the wrist while remaining perfectly proportioned. The watch is entirely original and works perfectly.
