Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E855 - 1960s
Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E855 - 1960s
Very beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox from the 60s. The history of the Memovox begins in 1951 with the launch of JLC's first alarm wristwatch under this name.
The Memovox is differentiated by its dial and its alarm clock which makes this model unique. The time and alarm functions were separated by the construction of two separate barrels, which made it possible to not reduce the power reserve of the clock by triggering the alarm function. Therefore, Memovox watches had two crowns for winding.
This 35mm piece is equipped with the JLC E855 caliber, a mechanical movement with manual winding "Bumper". All hands are functional and the caliber works as it should. On this type of old watch, a service can only be beneficial. Regarding her condition, she is in good general condition. A few dots are visible on the dial and in particular a slight alteration between 9/10 o'clock, but it remains very well preserved for its age. No visible scratches on the glass. It comes with its metal bracelet.
This watch comes without box/papers.
