Jaeger-LeCoultre Triple Chronograph E335 - 1950/60s
Jaeger-LeCoultre Triple Chronograph E335 - 1950/60s
Very nice beautiful Jaeger-LeCoultre Triple Guichet chronograph from the 50s-60s. Due to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, JLC models intended for the American market were printed and engraved with "LeCoultre" instead of "Jaeger-LeCoultre" until 1980. Conversely, models intended for Europe had the mention “Jaeger”.
This 35mm piece is powered by a Valjoux 72 movement signed Jaeger. The Valjoux 72 is particularly recognizable by the distance between the different pushers and the crown (the bottom pusher being a little further away). This watch can be compared to a cousin model or a variant of the JLC Chronographs ref.E335, with blued steel hands, intended for the American market.
This chronograph works perfectly as do its 3 subdials. This example has been worn throughout its life, but is still in very good condition considering its age. The case shows slight signs of use (unpolished) to keep its authenticity as much as possible. The glass is also in very good condition. This piece has its original dial, hands, crown and caseback. It comes with a generic terracotta colored leather strap that is almost new.
This watch comes without box/papers.
