Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E825 - 1954
Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox E825 - 1954
Very beautiful and unique Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox from 1954. This is a completely 10K gold "Gold Filed" model. The history of the Memovox goes back to 1951 with the launch of the first alarm wristwatch from JLC under this name. This one is dated 1954 and has been engraved on the back of the case back (as a reward for a competition in the USA).
Due to the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, Memovox models for the American market were printed and engraved with LeCoultre instead of Jaeger-LeCoultre until 1980.
This model is 33mm and is powered by the JLC E825 caliber, a "Bumper" hand-wound mechanical movement. All hands are functional and the caliber functions as it should. No visible scratches on the glass. Light patina on the dial, it remains very well preserved for its age. The dial is sublimated with blued hands. This watch comes with crowns that have been replaced and with a generic black leather strap.
This watch comes without box and papers.
