IWC Electronic ref.3602 - 1972
IWC Electronic ref.3602 - 1972
Discover this elegant IWC Electronic watch, reference 3602, equipped with an electronic tuning fork (quartz) movement.
This Electronic, close to the design of the Yachtclub, was only manufactured between 1971 and 1973, it is an even rarer piece because it has a day window in French.
Among the more than 30,000 Electronic models produced by IWC, only 6,000 were equipped with this specific day-date movement, identical to that of the Omega f300 or Longines Ultronic.
The ESA 9164 movement (badged caliber 160 by IWC) is often considered the “Rolls-Royce” of tuning fork movements. It benefits from the recognition of Bulova patents inside the case back.
The C-shaped case is well finished, in very good overall condition. The original, unrestored dial is in excellent condition, as are the straight, original hands. The crown, decorated with the IWC fish symbol, recalls models with water resistance (not guaranteed today).
This watch comes without box/papers.
