DuBois & Fils, founded in 1785, is considered the oldest watch factory still operating in Switzerland. The story begins in Le Locle, the cradle of Swiss watchmaking, where Philippe DuBois and his descendants produced pocket watches for the European and American markets. Long a supplier to other brands, the brand has returned to the forefront with limited-edition collections, blending contemporary design with historic mechanical movements, in a spirit of exclusive craftsmanship. 

Inspired by the automotive world of the 1930s, this watch pays homage to the legendary Jaguar SS100, the iconic British sports car from 1935. Produced in a limited edition of just 999, this piece features the "SS100" logo on its dial, a direct nod to this legendary car. After 1945, the name SS100 was dropped in favor of "Jaguar", for obvious historical reasons related to the acronym "SS".

It is powered by the renowned Valjoux 7750 caliber. It features a chronograph function accurate to 1/5th of a second, a 30-minute counter, and a central stop seconds hand. All of this is housed in a rhodium-plated stainless steel case with a distinctive and elegant fluted finish. Rhodium plating, a high-end treatment using rhodium, gives the watch excellent resistance to scratches and corrosion while accentuating its silvery shine.

The deep grey dial, much rarer than the “British Racing Green” version, stands out with its clear configuration: circular Arabic numerals, Tritium sports hands, and the tricompax layout characteristic of the Valjoux 7750.
