Before becoming an icon of diving watches with the famous SUB, Doxa distinguished itself in the 1950s with its innovatively designed city timepieces. Among them, the Doxa Grafic, launched in 1957, represents one of the most daring interpretations of modern watchmaking style in the post-war period.
This watch represents a true aesthetic turning point for the time, with a design inspired by the Bauhaus movement and mid-20th century modernist architecture. Our example is in a beautiful condition (slightly patinated) and comes with its original box.
Its discreet and elegant rectangular steel case is highlighted by a crown integrated into the case middle. The refined dial, with its geometric crosshair dial and stylized indexes, embodies the understated elegance of emerging modernity. This piece is powered by the Doxa 104 caliber, based on the A. Shild 1130.
It is also one of the few Doxa models to have been faithfully reissued in the 2000s, a sign of its importance in the history of the brand.
This piece comes with its original box.
